One of Las Vegas' most popular illusionists, Criss Angel puts his rigorous Cirque du Soleil show, Criss Angel BeLIEve, on hold during February and March while he recuperates from shoulder surgery. But that doesn't mean Angel gets to take a vacation. Instead, he'll welcome his fellow magicians and specialty acts to take to the BeLIEve theater for MAGICjam.
Angel will play host to his colleagues for this special all-star variety production, including cast members from his SpikeTV show, top female magician Krystyn Lambert, comedian-illusionist Nathan Burton and mentalist Banachek. Angel himself closes out the show with a few of his own mind-blowing illusions.
The show is one that Angel has been dreaming of for years. "I'm so excited to bring the most talented artists in their respective disciplines, all of whom I'm so fortunate to call my friends, to Luxor," said Angel in a release. "It's gonna be a blast!"
MAGICjam showcases an anthology of the greatest acts highlighting the skills and talents of Angel's co-stars. The lineup includes grand master manipulators Jason Byrne and Tony Clark, Russ Merlin and the world's best close-up artist Armando Vera.
If you're one of Criss Angel's followers, known as the Loyal, you may be slightly disappointed to find that his resident Cirque du Soleil show is on a two-month hiatus, but you won't be missing any of the magic at this once-in-a-lifetime show.
$59-$139, Tuesday through Saturday 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at Luxor, crissangel.com
