This poem I wrote for the Cement Block Contest in 2007, and have added a few paragraphs since. Entitled "SIMPLY AMAZING"...it's for all you Loyals...ENJOY!

"SIMPLY AMAZING"

There's a man who ignites his rad talent to heights, and performs with a craze so unique You're guaranteed a sweet trip on the Las Vegas strip, when encountering the mystic "Mindfreak".

A young boy from the start had a passion-filled heart, for a hobby he could not ignore ... With clarity and precision he held true to his vision, of reinventing like never before.

Had elite brand of style and knew all the while, that his talent could take him afar ........... A bit of magic and flare beyond one's compare, now for others he's raising the bar.

And eclectic mix of raw acoustics, were all part of his Broadway hit show ..................... And an edgy rock vibe are sure to describe, the compelling ensemble we know.

An escape artist rare--death defying beware, a modern Houdini by quest ........................ He's been shackled and chained his escapes unexplained, as he pushes the boundaries at best.

Explosives have blown, his body's been thrown, set on fire and buried alive.................. He's been crashed, he's been burned, he's been twisted and turned but his fate is always quick to survive.

Some say he has powers from a world not of ours, can predict and decipher one's mind For the art of control runs deep in his soul, it's an influence greatly combined.

Skepticism does heave as critics believe, his predictions are just staged in the making ..... But to think it's persuaded you're merely just jaded, for the magic is there for the taking.

He can give you a chill, moves objects at will, it's uncanny and hard to forget................. So don't trust his reprieve or what's up his sleeve, 'cause you're never quite sure what you'll get.

Your eyes blur on the spot, was it real, was it not? A fine line in the tangled delusion...... With your mind he is messing, your perception keeps guessing, as you question the craft of illusion.

Levitation is one that can't be out done, an enchanting effect on the brain................... And in the Luxor's white light he ascended in flight, to suspend disbelief once again.

His body suspension drew dramatic attention, for the fearless display did enthral............ Was a sight to astound, it was deeply profound, like a man out to conqueror it all.

A lady covered from view, an elephant too, were both subject to a baffling affair............. And with an intricate twist, the most ludicrous, he vanished them into thin air.

His dynamics surpass, was steamrolled on glass, and dissolved from a bull on the chase ..... Tried cement in a block, did a screwdriver walk, and attempted new work, "Justin Case".

The more exotic the car the better by far, was the treat from the trick engineered.......... For the Bentley compacted, Viper keys were extracted, and the Lambo---it just disappeared!

A naked jail bird was he, made escape history, just in time as the girls did convene........ But disappointment did spoil the hopes of each Loyal, for Houdini got back in his jeans!

It's one to remember, his skill did dismember, a woman who was just passing through........ For the masterful wizard put his hands on her gizzard, and in no time she lay there in two.

Or suspense it was dangled as his torso was mangled, by a saw blade that cut him vain.... Mind blowing by far and a little bizzare, his illusions are merely insane.

Die-hard fans galore they do beg him for more, and are awestruck as he does perform.... For he's fresh and he's real, has enticing appeal, and it taking the world by a storm.

His career does possess the rewards of success, for relentless hard work is extreme.... With a passion to thrive, discipline and much drive, and a hunger for chasing a dream.

His fan-base at length, the foundation of strength, is his family who play the best part.... And the inspiration he's had comes straight from his dad, who always stay close to his heart.

He connects to the few who consider it true, that within us we all can achieve............. What is truly desired, but one thing is required, you just have to dig deep and believe.

Through his magical art he's touched many a heart, is a legend that's more than defined.... A distinctness he's shown in a class all his own, and an absolute one of a kind.

And no matter the trick whether subtle or slick, no matter how pure or hair-raising.... What sums it up best are choice words like the rest---Criss Angel, you're SIMPLY AMAZING!!
