{Magic of the Mindfreak}Do you remember a day when you were tired of playing video games and decided to surf the TV. channels. And did you come across a show that you thought was interesting? I did. It was a year ago and my friend was over at my house.“ I think we should bring the play station out to the family room, so we can play Guitar Hero on the big TV,” said My friend“Okay, Why not lets do it,” I replied.A couple hours go by my bff and I are still playing Guitar Hero until she says, “I’m getting bored of this game let’s get some food,”We stopped and got some Doritos and Mountain Dew out of our huge pantry filled with all the food you could ever imagine. She had about three or four Mountain Dews. It was around midnight and the sky was dark, the only light was coming from the TV. From the blue glow of the TV I could see that she was passed out on the couch.“Well I take it the Mountain Dew has worn off,” I said I got up to get some water because I was tired of drinking Mountain Dew and I kept stepping on trash from our chips and soda cans. “ Ouch, that hurt,” I thought “ that Play station is so rude to me.” I got my water and I sat back down in my reclining chair and started to surf the channels.“hey, do you want to watch TV with me?” I asked.“Z Z Z ……” she replied. “Alright, well I don’t think that she is waking up anytime soon, so I think that I will just surf the TV channels,” I said “Awe, man nothing is on Disney Channel.” I said sadly. Still surfing the channels I came across a show where a man dressed in cargo shorts, with a white tee-shirt and a black bandana was laying on a flat table with a strap across his midsection. He was surrounded by a lot of people and two of the people were women. They were standing at each end of the table one of the women were holding his feet and the other was holding his hands. This Man was getting cut in half by a giant silver circular saw.“ What was happening to that man?, Why was he getting cut in half?” I asked to myself I hit the information button on my big remote to see what the show as called. Criss Angel Mindfreak, the caption read.“Hey HEY! You have to wake up,” I said excited “Z Z Z ……..” she answered.“ Wow, I think that girl could sleep through World War II,” I said. “I need to get back to watching Criss Angel,” I thoughtAs it turns out watching Criss get cut in half was actually an illusion. “ Oh my gosh I have to go see his live show in Las Vegas someday,” I thought to myself. “ hello hello,” I said while I was pushing her, “ Wake up you just missed this amazing TV show,” I said.“ Huh, huh wh..wha…what did I miss?” she asked with a tired voice. As I explained to her about the show, her face went from tired to excited. She asked, “when is that show going to be on again?” I answered, “Well, I guess it is a good thing that I found that out, His show airs weekly on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm, but his new season starts next summer and it will air every Wednesday at 9:00 pm.”I watch his show every week without fail. If I miss his show it makes me so upset, because his show has taught me so much. And his show has taught me about being positive. “If you have a dream and your actions speak louder than words, your dreams will eventually come true,” says Criss Angel.I relate to this quote because one of my dreams is to go to Vegas and meet Criss and sometimes in my dreams I see it happening.“ I want to go meet him,” I said. “ I totally agree with you ”she said. Even though she did not watch the show she wanted to go to Vegas and meet him too. Another reason why I want to go see him is because he is a very positive person, some of the things he says are very inspiring. One of my favorite quotes of his is “Everybody is dealt a different hand in life, it’s all about how you choose to play that hand,” says Criss Angel. This quote is special to me because to me it means that everyone is different and no two people are alike and everybody will come across difficulties in your life it is all about how you deal with that difficulty.He also says, “ When you believe anything is possible.”What I am trying to say is that it is okay to try new things because I did I tried to watch a new show that other people would have thought was weird. It is okay to stand out and watch something that is out of the ordinary because you might end up liking it. Like I did, even though there are a lot of people who don’t even know who Criss is. His show has taught me that it is okay to be different. I learned to like a new show and now his show is where I can escape to if something is bothering me because when I turn his show on it is like nothing else is going on in my mind except when I say to myself, “How did he do that?”
