Loyal Episode and Cremated Alive
November 6, 2007I just spent the last 2 days with Criss Angel at Mindfreak Tapings ~ Awesome
My Son Sean and I headed out to Vegas after reading the invitations to Loyals to be part of 2 demonstrations. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to learn of even another event which was Criss taking the Loyals ice skating after the first taping for the Loyal Episode. So, to start at the beginning, we got into Vegas at about 11:15 and went straight to the Mindfreak Store where we were supposed to meet and started the waiting process. As we waited, we met JD, Dimitra and Criss' Aunt and Uncle and took pictures with them and chatted a bit. They were absolutely sweet , as usual. For the Taping we were right in front and had perfect view of Criss. As Criss passed by me, he grabbed my hands and said, "Hi honey, thanks for coming out" and then his family was standing right next to me and Sean during the demonstration. After the filming was done, Criss invited all the Loyals to go ice skating. Prior to the ice skating, Criss did an illusion ~ my son, Sean was chosen to be part of it and was interviewed on camera. Again, I was in the front and could see great. After that, there were about 50 of us that went ice skating with Criss. He was so adorable on the ice!!! He was such a kid!!! Skating, laughing and just having fun. His production crew is also a blast to be around ~ they are alot of fun! It was so great to just hang out with Criss having fun like that. He was so relaxed and happy. After the ice skating he stayed afterward to take some pictures and sign autographs. As we left the ice, Criss was taking off his skates and I went over and talked to him and thanked him for the ice skating and we hugged. I told him that I was recovering from knee surgery and he told me to be careful so I wouldn't get hurt. Also JD asked me, "what are doing out here on the ice after surgery,?" and I said "I would do anything because your brother is out here" and he laughs and says" Not ruin your knee" and we both laughed and he also told me to be careful. There were about 20 of us there for the pictures and autographs. I think my picture with him came out very cute ~ when I can figure out how to post pics on this new site, I will put them up. But what I really loved was before my picture, Criss put both arms around me and gave me a really big hug and then we posed for our picture ~ And, it was JD that took our picture! The next day was Cremated Alive" ~ there was the waiting again first. You would see JD and Costa walking around, talking to people and getting things ready. I have a new respect for what it takes to shoot an episode of Mindfreak!! When the time came, the production Crew and Luxor Security walked us over to the location of the filming and the demonstration was AWESOME!!! They told us beforehand that there would be NO cameras or cell phones allowed, so I had neither with me :-( but luckily I ran into and met a new friend that had her camera with her. After the demonstration, I was interviewed on camera for my reaction. I spoke with Criss and we took another picture together and I got another hug from him. I met Costa who is a total sweetheart. I was cold and he came over and was rubbing my arms to help me stay warm and we took a couple of pics together. I met so many great people over the last 2 days and have a bunch of new Loyal friends. It was a great experience, one I will always remember and cherish. Just being able to be around Criss that much, to experience his work and his art and to get those pictures, hugs and personal moments is priceless. To see those demonstrations in person is truly the experience of a lifetime. Criss and his whole family are a delight to be around and are so warm and receptive. Even though I'm very tired, it was soooooooo worth it.
