The Immortals
December 12, 2007There are just a few rare people, so special, so talented, so incredibly above the norm, they are known as the immortals!
I once published an article on Velonews.com about immortals in the cycling arena. Names like, Lance Armstrong, Eddy Merckx, Greg LeMond, Andy Hampsten and Bernard Hinault. I wrote that article since cycling is my sport, passion and part of my career.

But there are other immortals as well. In music, there is Mozart, the Beatles and I'm sure you have your choices too.
In the art of magic, to me, there is Houdini and Criss Angel. That's it. They are immortals in the field of magic. Why do I call these people immortals?
Because they are capable of feats that defy our understanding, our ability to comprehend the reality of what they have just done, right before our very eyes! And beyond that, they elevate all of us to a level that we never thought was possible. The immortals show us the way to something that no one previously believed could be done. Criss does that in his field, just like Lance did it in his.
We need immortals, we need heroes. They show us what can be, what is possible. As the title to my site says, Anything is Possible! I hope you believe it too.
