My illustrator is working on "Marjorie Mouse and the Valentine Surprise". Here's a little exerpt:

Marjorie Mouse was baking in her kitchen one day when she looked up at her calender and said, “Oh my! It’s almost Valentine’s day!” Marjorie Mouse loved Valentine’s Day. She loved celebrating and she especially liked Valentine’s day because Valentine’s Day was also Marjorie Mouse’s birthday!

She decided that she wanted to have a Valentine’s Day party at her home. She sat down and made a list of friends to invite: Mrs. and Mrs. Melvin and Harriet Mouse, her neighbors on the right Miss Susie Mouse, the local librarian Mr. Charlie Mouse of the Cheese Shoppe Dear sweet Sally Mouse, the elderly mouse who lived up the lane Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Melissa Mouse, her neighbors on the left along with George, Paula, Tommy and Maggie, their four children. Ms. Genevieve Mouse, the town’s schoolteacher Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mouse, the town’s police officer and his wife Dr. Donald Mouse, the town’s doctor.

Marjorie next made a list of things she needed to buy for the party Pink, red and white streamers Pink, red and white balloons Milk, eggs, flour and other ingredients for cake Fruit punch Cheese platter Party games Heart shaped candy

Marjorie Mouse left her home to do her shopping. She was a very busy mouse indeed!!

Marjorie’s next door neighbor on the right, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin and Harriet Mouse were sitting at breakfast one beautiful sunny morning when Mrs. Harriet Mouse looked up at her calender.
“Mercy,” she cried.

“Whatever is the matter?” Melvin, her husband, asked.
“Why, Marjorie Mouse has a birthday coming up!  Let us throw a surprise party for her!” Harriet exclaimed.
