I know a lot of truth about the dark side of things.....read on and be guided by the light..................

If there’s one thing I know for sure, its how awful people can really be. Not having perfect teeth and being refused braces growing up was really hard for me. I was a target at home, and a target for the world. Mean people hone in on your imperfection like heat seeking missiles, their misery and insecurities fueling their insults and abuse. And society just doesn’t take you seriously. I was like a walking joke. It takes a lot of guts, to go out there every day, with a script playing in your head chanting:

” They’re all going to laugh at you.”

Taking control of my life and fixing my own teeth has been empowering and humbling at the same time. I know what it’s like to be attractive, and I know how it feels to be treated like the ugliest piece of dirt in the universe. Ironically enough, I never really had a reason to smile before. Now, life has that special dose of magic.
