I just kinda started writing and this came out. I revised the hell out of it tho. It started off being about Steamrolled but then changed it to fit any demonstration, Enjoy!
The sun beats, his heart pounds
The crowd screams but all he hears are his own breath
The ground shakes, his soul is calm
The heavens shine as he crawls thru hell
Where seeming agony, total numbness
The finish line means no more pain…safety
All he sees is victory’s looming shadow
Inhale. Exhale. Almost there
The world bursts to life, he remembers
Inhale
He slips out of the numbness
Exhale
Back into the fast paced world
Inhale. Exhale.
His friends surround him
Inhale
You are safe now
Exhale.
Surrender to the pain.
“I have transcended”
