Realizing how good the show was, and how much it meant to me, my mom grabbed our cameras and phones, and she told me to get a good spot in line. It turned out that there was no line, it was just a mob. Criss had apparently not warned his crew that he would be meeting his fans. The Luxor was not prepared for the chaos that followed. Everyone was pushing and shoving. Not only did the hotel consult casino security, but also the Las Vegas Police Department. I never imagined one person requiring this much security. My mother and I talked to a police officer, and he said that the show cost several million dollars to produce. If something were to happen to the celebrity, there was not an understudy in place. I then understood how serious the officers were about keeping every one of the fans in line. There was one man who was cutting the line, but he was stopped and returned to the back of the line. My mother and I waited as the line went nowhere. We had heard rumors that Criss was not going to be able to make his appearance. I knew Criss wouldn’t do that. Criss is very loyal to each and every one of his fans. He knows that his success is from those who have supported him. When I saw cameras flashing, I knew that it was time. After several security guards, Criss came out. My mother was standing in line with the photo camera, me with my camcorder. We both got great shots, but I was later told by a police officer that videos were prohibited, for security reasons. He didn’t really enforce that rule, but I still respected it.
