Hey there Ladies,

I'm back after my wedding, been Mrs Renier-Clark for exactly a week now and I survived it...LOL...his old man was being a total egotistical asshat the entire wedding lead up then got food poisoning the day of the wedding from McDonalds so he ended up missing the whole ceremony and reception cause he was praying to the porcelain gods...GOTTA LOVE KARMA!!!

There's some pics from the day on my facebook if you all want to see..was up 6lbs on the day so I had to make do with what I had...and that was me with a few extra pounds :P

The day was all about compromise and improvisation....LOL....We got to the chapel early so we could do the catering whilst Danny goes and gets his family from the house...all was well till I discovered I had left the frying pan and the chopping board and chef's knife at home...so when Danny called to say he was coming back we got him to grab the chopping board and knife cause till he came back with it we were improvisiung with the plastic BBQ cutlery that we had...worked ok...and I used the gift that my girlfriends Lisa and Deb gave me right there and there a non stick skillet... good to see some of us had our heads screwed on right...LOL

Then 1pm rolls around..my butt's still in the kitchen cookin and preparing...so I asked Deb if she could take over the kitchen whilst me and Lisa (my bridesmaid)got ready...of course that was an non issue and she did it for me....tho we get down to the bathrooms...no freakin power point for me to plug my curling iron into...GAH! so we had to compromise and go with what we had...so I just put some hairspray through Lisa's so it wasn't so frizzy...and I just pulled the sides of mine into the middle couple of bobby pins and slapped my tiara in...only thing that went according to plan there was the geisha makeup till i misplaced my red lip liner at last minute...so improvised and just put my lip stick on and got out there and did that thing...LOL...Danny's mom was awesome too trying to keep us girls as calm and on track as she could...worked fine till I walked up the stage door steps onto the stage and boom there before me was Danny, the bishop, Bobby and Lis all waiting for me along with a table fill of legal papers...just hit me that this is it! before that it was just like any other busy day for us.

So my legs gave out on me couldn't stop the jitters for anything whilst I was in my heels...tried standing on the side of one so I wouldn't have to take em off...but nope that didn't help so they just had to go and I did the whole thing bare foot...LOL...Lisa was a god send helpin out so so much... it was always planned for me should I get married that Libb be my Maid of Honor and my grandma walk me down the aisle...but unfortunately to both of their deaths 6 months out from each other Christmas Eve and Mother's Day of 2007 respectively that wasn't to come to pass so yeah she had some pretty big shoes to fill and she did that for me and more!!

We did write our own vows as well as taking the traditional ones...well I wrote my own vows Danny just borrowed his from the last Grey's anatomy wedding....LMAO...it was funny I was watching that episode waiting for him to come home from work he saw Derek I think his name is give his vows and he was like "Hun, I just found me vows!" so Yeah we changed the names and went with that...LMAO...worked out well tho I was wondering what the heck was that piece of paper he was holding in his hand the entire ceremony...cheeky bugger ripped that page off one of the orders of service where I put our vows in the back...me I just nicked the bishops order of service...LOL...Bishop was like did you memorise them felt like saying " dude with everything going through my mind right now you even think I would've remembered anyway?"...My vows made my good friend Soph get all emotional actually made a few people emotional...LMAO

Oh yeah and yes we did cut our cake with my kill bill katana....LMAO...surprisingly cake is really hard to cut with it...LMAO...till I stabbed it in the middle and pulled it down...LMAO...a lady from our church made us our cake...wasn't exactly as I had envisioned it...but it did the job y'know...the centrepiece Danny and I had got from a glass blower at easter time...not sure if you can see it too well in the photos but it's a cherry blossom tree with a lil boy and girl kissing under it

As for the speeches we didn't really have a set order for them we just kinda went around the tables and let people say a few words liked it better that way...so noone was more superior than anyone else...Trish, Danny's mum started off the speeches saying that we had done an awesome job putting it all together ourselves and she wished us all the best for the future, Danny Avila a great church friend of ours said a few words about marriage and what it is to him, I then said my few words and had a blubberfest...LOL...just a few words about how Libb was supposed to be my maid of honor, thanking Lisa and Deb for all their hardwork and help at last moments notice, thanking his mum for her help, thanking Danny for being there as my rock through everything including losing my kids by this point mascara EVERYWHERE, guess I didn't remember to get the waterproof one...LOL...then after I had finished ours my school friend Jess said a few words since I asked her to since she was the only school friend that had bothered to show...then Danny's workmate Scott said a few words and speeches were finished with really good family friend and my young women's president Sister Fruean telling my background story right up to yesterday was like my mom was there saying a few words you know but yeah none of my family were there.

One thing I learnt tho if ur gonna DIY your wedding let someone else do the catering...LOL..tho ours was 90% vegan didn't plan it that way tho...LOL...it would've been ok if we could've got into the chapel at 9 but we could only acess it from 11 so didn't leave alot of time....also don't bother too much about having a timeline...it doesn't work...LMAO...things happen and improvisation and compromise are going to be your words of the day...Tho you can ask the girls there was alot of cussing out that plastic knife...LOL

The boys did the balloons all wrong too there was supposed to be huge bunches of them tied to the bottom of the screens but again no time with a sick father in law being a drama llama...so we just went with what we had and didn't stress the small stuff.

When I get the dvd from my girl Soph I'll try and see if there's any way that I can upload it for all to see
