R.I.P Casey Calvert!!!!

Hawthorne Heights is an emo/punk/rock/scremo/post-hardcore band that just recently lost one of their band members, Casey Calver, the guitarist and screemer due to a drug overdose. Casey was the silly memeber that was always goofing around and making them laugh. He passed away in his sleep wehen they were on tour in november on 2007, the band found out when they were going to wake him for a sound check before on of their concerts. Speaking to Absolutepunk.net on Monday, the band explained how hard it has been to record without Casey."It was hard recording for the first time without Casey being there. He was such a great stress [reliever] because he was so silly," singer JT Woodruff said.But there is no plan to replace him."We can't ever replace Casey, and we would never want to," said Woodruff. "The four of us have been through so much together, that it would be unfair to try to let someone else into our circle. We will always be a five-member band, because Casey is in our hearts and heads always."The band has even gone so far as to say that they will still credit him on all future recordings as "Casey Calvert: guitar/vocals."Some of the songs on the band's new record 'Fragile Future', which is released on the US on August 5, also touch on the experience of losing Casey."Some of the lyrics really tackle how I feel about losing my best friend," Woodruff said, "so it was hard to sing them, and hear them played back over and over."
