Meeting and greeting...
December 9, 2008Part 1 of my Vegas story
I always feel great when I arrive in Las Vegas -- I've been there too many times to count and I have never had a bad visit -- but when my plane touched down on December 6th and I looked out the window and saw Luxor with the huge BeLIEve sign on it, the energy I felt was different somehow. I knew that in just a few hours I'd be meeting CRISS and in a few more I'd be experiencing BeLIEve for the first time! Got settled into the hotel in my not-so-great 2nd floor room with a view of a wall (but so what, I was in the same place as Criss!), then met fellow Loyal Jessica ("believeinme") for lunch and shared excitement about the M&G to come. I think she's now my new Loyal "little sister" -- we got along so well. Soon it was time to head to the BeLIEve store area for the M&G – where we met loads of lovely Loyals who were just as excited as we were! We had to wait for a while, but it was all worth it when he walked into the theater lobby. Smiling, charming, lookin’ FINE – he said a few words about how he appreciated us being there and seeing the show, wished us happy holidays…and on with the individual meets. I have met a number of famous people and am sometimes nervous, sometimes not – with Criss I was just excited, not at all nervous. Looking into those eyes…ahhh…I had a card for him but because time was a bit tight he didn’t open it on the spot, but he thanked me and said he’d read it later. He said “you’re seeing the show tonight, right?” and I said “and tomorrow night, too!” – and with that he said “thank you so much, you’re so sweet!” and planted a kiss on my cheek. HELLO! That was a wonderful surprise – I’d thought that just cuddling up with him a bit for the picture would be lovely but to add that kiss was amazing. I think I pretty much floated out after we were done – or did Criss levitate me? Jessica and I were standing in front of the BeLIEve store, looking at our pics on our cameras, when I noticed that COSTA was a few yards away, talking on his phone and having a cigarette (bad boy, Costa!)…we were patient, and we had to be…he stayed on the phone a long time, but eventually quite a few of us got to talk with him and take pictures. What a sweet man. He had a cold and wasn’t feeling very well and I sure hope he’s doing better now. I’m going to separate my stories into a few blogs…want to keep the length manageable. A little later today I’ll post about the show – and the activities afterward!
